"Single Ladies(Put A Ring On It)
Ummm...Can we say "Get Me Bodied" part 2?? Only this one is garbage.
"If I Were A Boy"
I'm mad she just swagger jacked Ciara's "Like A Boy" concept...But this one, minus the growling and oversinging is better than the first one.

I need these in my life!!!!
As one of the past decade’s most influential skateboard artists, Todd Bratrud has produced thousands of graphics for skate decks as well as for apparel. Todd was also the mind behind their collaborative “Send Help” sneaker alongside Nike SB. Most recently working as a featured Volcom artist this Spring, Todd took his burlesque lizard girl signature style and created new gear as well as an art show. Hooking up with Nike SB, Mr. Bratrud will once again get his own signature designed Dunk High with some familiar colors being showcased. The kicks are scheduled to be a October 2008 release at select Nike SB accounts worldwide. For the Japanese heads, they are now available at Arktz.

Do What Lupe Says and "WAKE UP!" (Ya Gotta Love This Guy)..

Hip hop artist Lupe Fiasco performed last Friday at the Leavey Center. The sellout crowd listened to him rap about social issues and how hip hop saved his life.
"Wake up!" commanded Lupe Fiasco as he took the stage in the sold-out Leavey Center Friday night.
Without sounding pretentious, Fiasco questioned the stereotypes and delusions revolving around the hip hop lifestyle.
Fiasco brought the presidential election to the attention of his audience with his abrupt slogan, which resonated throughout the arena and in the ears of many concert-goers well after the show.....
The Knux, two brothers from Hollywood-via-New Orleans with a passion for abstract-progressive hip hop, opened the concert.
Following The Knux, the charismatic Fiasco hit the stage outfitted in all black to a crowd chanting, "Lu-pe. Lu-pe."
What seemed to be Fiasco's group of bodyguards turned out to be his back-up band, 1500 or Nothin'. The band and Lupe created a jazzy feel on stage. Their sound featured multiple keyboards, two guitars and a drum set.
Blue lights danced as Fiasco performed the first few tracks from his debut album, "Food & Liquor."
An obvious energy filtered from stage to audience, with little down time between songs.
Heralded as being the next vanguard for the continuously changing hip hop scene, Fiasco's second song of the night was the atypical story of a skateboarding youngster escaping his troubles in "Kick, Push."
The song refrains from spreading the stereotypical portrayal of the hip hop lifestyle that is often heard on the radio. Instead, Fiasco shed a different light on drugs, money and "hoes."
Like other social activists who have been progressive within the hip hop world -- including Nas, Tupac Shakur and Jay-Z -- Fiasco's lyrics encourage listeners to be content with themselves without having to seek happiness through less fulfilling means.
Fiasco embraces his Muslim background and condemns drugs, drinking and living the flashy lifestyle of many other artists.
The atmosphere livened up even more with a few tracks from Fiasco's newest album, "The Cool." Lupe's energetic performances further set him apart from many other hip hop artists.
As the concert occurred only hours after the first presidential debate between John McCain and Barack Obama, Fiasco had no trouble conveniently making a few comments about this year's election.
"A vote for Barack is a vote for the future, a vote for McCain is a vote for the past," said Fiasco. He added, "Ladies and gentlemen, the most important vote is the vote for yourselves." At this point, Lupe's sunglasses came off and the performance became a bit more personal.
Near the end of the show, Fiasco performed what is arguably his most famous single, "Superstar." He then entered into a lengthy dialogue with the crowd, imploring them up from the apathetic daydream that seems to be characteristic of much of our generation: "If we don't wake up now, ladies and gentlemen, there might not be a tomorrow to wake up to. Wake up!"
It will be interesting to see how successful Fiasco is at redefining "cool" and remaining true to his abstinence from the frivolous lifestyles of other artists as he makes his mark in the hip hop world.
Though his lyrical messages may not have rung out as loudly as his political dialogue between songs, without a doubt, the performance was timely and well-received by students.
One of the Greatest Tracks....EVER!
Bootsy Collins' "I'd Rather Be With You"...No words are needed for this one! The song's been sampled by everybody from Pac to Beyonce..Nobody did it better than Eazy E though...Here's a performance of Bootsy doing the song back in '76:
I wonder how much coke he did before this performance, because he was gooooone!
No here's Eazy-E's version, "I'd Rather F**k U"...He ripped it and did the original justice..One of my fave from him, and it's HILARIOUS!! Classic material.
One of Outkast's Hidden Gems
Here's their track "Movin Cool (The Afterparty) ft. Joi from their 2001 Greatest hits album.....They also performed it in their "Idlewild" film, which happens to be one of my fave scenes.

Impatiently waiting on this!!!
When "Straight Outta Compton" was released in late 1988, radio wanted nothing to do with it. When NWA taped a music video, MTV refused to play it. No radio, no television and no publicity.
But almost immediately, there was controversy. The music the album contained was so perverse, so nihilistic, so forbidden, politicians elbowed each other out of the way to condemn it. Highbrow critics couldn't find language strong enough to critique it; they went further, questioning whether it was even music at all. And of course, the FBI wanted to ban it.Too late. Gangsta rap was in the house. The album that was made in just six weeks for $8000 went on to sell 3 million copies. Chris Rock called it the single most important album of all time.
NWA: The World's Most Dangerous Group tells the story of a group of childhood friends from Compton who channeled the rage of the streets through the prism of rap music and pop culture. Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Ice-Cube, MC Ren and DJ Yella gave a powerful voice to the late-80's Compton ghetto that was on the verge of exploding, and in the process scared the hell out of White America.
They were vilified for inciting violence, castigated for destroying our culture. But NWA weren't gangbangers, they were artists. And their raging raps about police violence, gang-land terror and drug-fueled shooting sprees were fictions. But most people, especially the parents of the suburban white teenagers who bought 80% of the albums sold, didn't get it. Far from inciting violence, NWA incited a revolution that redefined hip-hop just as hip-hop was poised to overrun popular culture.
NWA also gave the ultimate voice to the voiceless. And when many of their violent prophecies came to light during the LA riots of '92, the original Boyz n the 'Hood were turned to for some desperately needed context amidst the erupting urban chaos.
NWA: The World's Most Dangerous Group features new interviews with Ice Cube, DJ Yella, Eazy-E's widow Tamika Wright, former manager Jerry Heller, Ice-T, and director John Singleton. Supplemented by rarely-seen footage and interviews of the group's early days, photos, and music, the documentary will show how gangsta rap was born in late 80s Los Angeles, a city torn by drugs and violence...and how a nation grew to fear the music that emerged.

Janet Hospitalized
NEW YORK - A representative for Janet Jackson says the singer has been hospitalized after falling ill shortly before a concert.
According to statement released by W&W Public Relations, the singer canceled her concert in Montreal on Monday after she "got suddenly ill" during her sound check and had to be rushed to the hospital just before show time.
The statement says Jackson is being monitored at the hospital and hopes to reschedule the show. No further information was given about Jackson's condition.
A phone call placed to W&W after hours went unanswered, and a representative did not immediately return an e-mail seeking more information.
Jackson, 42, is on a North American tour.
